Just a concept poster design I did for Repertory Philippines’ Jekyll and Hyde. Weeks ago there are still few promotional materials released so I’m forced to hunt online. To be honest I don’t like the logo they used for this Manila production. I used the original typography they used in Broadway and in West End. I also used the theme of an aged and torn paper to simulate the original layout. Then I fused it with Hollywood style poster to make it more modern.

I did it just for fun but yep, it is also another way of saying “Please, hire me.” XD

“SUNDO” aka “Angel of Death”

Not really watching this new show of GMA 7 but I’m always fond of winged creatures (angels, bird man etc) and most of time I like it to be the subject of my art piece. Here’s another Daz Studio art finished in Photoshop.

Playing around with Daz Studio’s UberEnvironment lighting settings. Also I decided to render a topless character to see how the skin will look like if rendered on an optimal setting. First time to use a camera. I always use the default perspective view for renders. Applying “point to camera” on eyes gives the character more humanity.

Roughly 10 - 15 minutes of render. Could be much longer if I use a longer hair.

Another 3D Illustration done in Daz Studio 4 and Photoshop. A friend’s original character. His name is Gwapoman.

Background: Edgardo Liwayway is a self-taught detective/vigilante, highlighting as a tricycle driver routing Sta. Cruz, Quiapo, to Chinatown, Manila. Using his street-savy, carefree charisma, and panty-dropping charms, the eight smartest man in the planet delivers “Hell on Earth” upon petty snatchers to big-time drug lords. A member of the fearlessly suicidal Bayan Knights Gilas squad, he plans to get married someday.

Powers/abilities: Gwapoman has no superhuman powers, but with an IQ of 200, he has the uncanny ability to easily deduce and understand complex mathematical equations and apply it to real-life situations. His knowledge and experience of plumbing, auto-repair, electrical, carpentry, and even cooking, prove to be helpful in his detective and undercover work. He also claims to be a master strategist and tactitian.

Liberty Girl Character chart. Liberty Girl is my Original character and now a member of a legion of local superheroes Bayan Knights. Here’s a character chart I created as a reference material for my colleagues. The 3D rendered illustration of Liberty Girl is done on Daz Studio 4 plus some post work in Photoshop.

Chronicle, now showing nationwide from 20th Century Fox (Philippines)

Inspired again to do a fan/parody poster for the movie Chronicle. Saw it 2 days ago and I really like its unique execution of a superhero themed film. You should see it this weekend. I’m very sure you’ll enjoy it.

Back in 2007, I’m given the task to design new Pringles Mascots based on its every variant flavors. Well I can’t remember if the designs are used but I assume not because it is not used on any promotional purposes. Now after four years I’m publishing the designs here on my portfolio.

Here are more NPCs for Dangka (Online Community Game) but this time these characters belongs to Animax Asia. Back then this characters are created as the channel’s official mascots. Animax partnered with Yehey and planned to give these characters placements inside the game.

Here are the in game art of every NPC based on the original artwork from Animax.

Dangka logo and other properties belongs to Yehey Corp. Characters belongs to SPE Networks - Asia Pte Ltd.

A very old in game art done back in 2007 for a suppose to be Online Game. These are Non Playable Characters (NPC) created based on our company’s employees. Of course, only us will know who they are.

There are more other NPCs but this is the only set I’ve designed myself. I miss doing concept designs. They require a lot of work but it makes me practice drawing more often. Looking forward to doing it again ;)

Another Practice piece in ZBrush 4r2. Slowly getting familiar with the main tools and functions. Now just trying to create an organic type of mesh which is the most easiest since you don’t really need to be perfect. Next time i will be trying to model mechanical objects with hard materials.
